I have always seen women as flowers.
Different roots, different soils, different colours, different forms. We grow in different environments, bloom in different seasons and weather different storms. Some of us bloom early, some later. Some have to fight a little harder to reach the light.
But somehow, we bloom.
I’ve lived through my own seasons too, at my own pace and in my own way. And through so many of them, one thing has always carried me forward: movement.
Moving my body has always felt like a blessing. Maybe because, from a very young age, I understood that being able to move is something we should never take for granted.
I grew up with my auntie, who lived with Friedreich’s ataxia, a rare inherited condition that progressively affects the nervous system, impacting coordination, balance and muscle control. Over time, independent movement became more and more difficult, until eventually she relied on a wheelchair.
Watching someone I loved to lose something most of us do without even thinking standing, walking, moving freely completely changed the way I saw my own body.
Through my own battles, challenges and the things we sometimes carry quietly, movement kept me moving forward. I’ve lived through so many versions of myself. And somewhere along the way, other flowers started appearing around me.
Women sharing their stories, their struggles, their wins, their insecurities, their dreams, their bodies, their lives... Every story was different, but somehow, we were connected. And I realised something:
We were never meant to bloom alone.
That’s where Lift&Reform was born.
I want to create a space where women could come together exactly as they are and move through whatever era they find themselves in.
Maybe that means lifting heavy in the gym. Maybe it’s Pilates. Running. Walking. Stretching. Or simply choosing to move your body that day.
And while we’re doing it, I think we’re absolutely allowed to look cute too.
To put on something that makes us stand a little taller. Something that makes us feel feminine, powerful, soft, bold - or simply more like ourselves.
Because sometimes, what we wear can become a small part of how we celebrate the woman we are in that moment.
And that brings me to our very first collection:
HER ERA. 🤍
HER ERA is about embracing the era you are actually in.
Not the one you think you should be in. Not somebody else’s. And not the one you’re rushing to become.
The one you’re in right now.
Maybe it’s your TERRA era. Maybe it’s SOVEREIGN, RE-BIRTH, EARTH, or maybe you’ve made it to your CHERRY ON TOP era.
You might be in one era today and another tomorrow. You might even carry little pieces of all of them at once.
And that’s kind of the point.
Every set in our first Lift&Reform collection is dedicated to an era because there is no single way to be a woman, just as there is no single way for a flower to bloom.
We’re all different flowers. But when we come together, somehow, we form a beautiful bouquet.
And that’s what I want Lift&Reform to become: a bouquet of women, each blooming in her own way.
HER ERA is my invitation to you to embrace yours.
To appreciate your body for carrying you this far. To dress it in something that makes you feel good. To show up for yourself and move because you can. And to celebrate where you are right now, even if you’re still figuring out where you’re going next.
I can’t wait for you to wear the set that represent the era you are in.
But before I do, I want to ask you one thing: Which era are you in?
With love,
Gamze
